Dr. John Flackett Panel Speaker: Innovation & Social Good

On the 23rd March 2018, our Co-founder, Dr. John Flackett, will be speaking about Innovation & Social Good at the Student Invention Summit organised by the Cognito Foundation. The event will be held at The Science Exchange, 55 Exchange Place, Adelaide, South Australia 5000 from 9.00am to 1.00pm.

Summit event summary

The Summit is a unique program of guest speakers from diverse industries and backgrounds to talk about how innovation can be good for business as well as for community and the environment. Our very special guest is Nobel Prize Winner Professor Muhammad Yunus. Professor Yunus is the founder of the Grameen Bank, an anti-poverty campaigner and pioneer of Social Business. He will be speaking about his quest to find solutions to society’s most dire needs and his strong belief in the power of collaboration. 

The Student Invention Summit is a new initiative that brings together students, teachers and young Inventors. The Summit aims to connect students, communities, companies and all levels of government to better understand and promote how innovation can make real social change. Some of the young inventors whose local inventions have had global applications will be on showcase at the Summit. John will be speaking as part of a curated question and answer panel on Innovation & Social Good.
