It's that exciting time of the year again! GovHack; Australia's largest open government and open data hackathon is taking place in July 2017. GovHack will be running across Australia and New Zealand for 46 hours starting Friday 28 July and ending Sunday 30th July.

On Tuesday 27th June 2017, GovHack will be running a connections event in South Australia prior to the hackathon. This is a great opportunity to meet the GovHack crew, data mentors, team members, ask any questions and find out all about the hackathon.

We're really excited and proud that our Co-founder, Dr. John Flackett, will be speaking at the GovHack South Australia Connections event, where he will be talking about his experience taking part and how it's one of the best hackathons on the planet! The event will be held at Bradley Forum, Level 5, UniSA City West Campus, 50 – 55 North Terrace, Adelaide 5000 from 5:30pm.

What is GovHack?

GovHack is a annual hackathon where teams of people come together to research, create, develop and build amazing solutions using open government data. Teams are required to submit a video pitch of their idea and compete for a range of super cool prizes.

koolth are huge supporters of GovHack. It's a really fun, creative event and a brilliant way to meet and work with awesome people to create something of purpose. We're passionate about open data and it is brilliant to see so many data sets available to play with and get inspired by. We highly recommend taking part and experiencing this awesome hackathon!
